I might have to taste it a Christmas (just to check if it's okay), but I'll try to leave it for  minimum 3 months .

Oh feckit. I forgot to bring it down to the family hideaway for xmas. It will have to wait until we're back in London.
Given my rate of gin consumption, it will be enough to last a lifetime.

I have  bottle of this which came as part of a hamper from our three absent kids. I might try some - it will be a new experience or me!

Experiment XX tastes of grannies and gunpowder.

(added juniper berries and peppercorns)

Not sure if nasty or acquired taste...
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Not sweet. I went with less than the recommended sugar load, and left the stones in.  It's... dry, with a hint of cherry and almond.  I like it, but that's beginner's luck - if I do it again next year it won't be the same.

I've just bottled my sloe gin <hic>

Sweeter and more astringent than the damson, which I think has a slightly rounder flavour.   But very,  very nice :)

Can I apply for a quality control position prior to the January temperance period, which I may well observe?

I have just broken the foil on a bottle of Laphroigh by way of reciprocity.   Pub bikes are go!

An afternoon in the bushes and three months' gestation:

Any good for champagne cocktails, do you think?

I've just found the sloe gin I started in November.
I fear it will be a very good Easter with plenty of Gin, no weight loss but loads of fun.
