Are you a bike geek?

Noodley:
No, thankfully.

Notsototalnewbie:
I'm called 'the cycling evangelist' at work, which is not quite the same, I'm not very good on knowing what things cost so couldn't be called a bike geek in that way.

Probably because every time someone whinges about the bus/tube I mutter something about how they could avoid it if they cycled...I converted one person that way but she does sit opposite me so I had plenty of opportunities to wear her down!  ;D

I went out of my way to get a project investigating bike aerodynamics at uni as it would give me access to the wind tunnel thus allowing me to know all about the aero profile of myself in a TT position!

I was wondering how you'd afforded that - almost imagined you getting sponsorship to pay for a trip to San Diego. ISTR that a long time ago when you were asking for advice on what to buy next in order to get your times down, I was the only one in the thread who suggested wind tunnel time.  :D

I was working out the speed a pennyfarthing would make at a certain cadence last night.  In my head.  At least I didn't use St. Sheldon's Slide Rule Method, I s'pose... ;)
