A new season begins.

Fox & Hounds to start off with this week then some more fine pubs to follow.

Anyone joining us?

An evening that turned out do be far better than forecast, Postie and I were joined by Plodder for the ride out to the pub although our excursion was somewhat cut short by a visitation on the Finchdean/Buriton road.

Never mind, this delay meant that we (completely by chance) intercepted Keeks on his way to join us at the Red Lion, Chalton, rather than the pub we were actually drinking in i.e. Fox & Hounds Denmead.

Vern, Clare and my non-forum chums  Robbie and Steve joined us for far too much beer before we scooted off for home (hic).

A fine evening.

But was there fruit cake as there was on Tuesday night?

I can, if given some notice, turn up occasionally with fruit cake (or any other cake variety).  I'm not sure whether this would be appropriate so will take your advice.

It would.t be the first time we have had a fruit cake in our midst.

BTW, does anyone know when Tuggo is back?

I am out of action as my left leg to the side of my knee took a puncture wound descending the red route in Kielder  :-[. Is a flesh wound only thankfully but I have no idea how long that takes to mend, gonna ask that on health category.

Well, that was moist.

Still, young Tuggo made a show as did Vernon, Clare and my mate Robbie.

It was a pretty wet and wild night.

On the plus side everybody assumed the puddle under the table was rain water.

Back from holidays now but missed this week on the basis that I need at least a few alcohol free days to recover. Maybe next Wednesday at Shedfield.

Just a note to say we won't be at the library at Cosham but will be meeting at The Castle, Rowlands Castle, at 6:15.

8pm at the Wheatsheaf though.

A fine evening and breathtaking sunset.

The Wheatsheaf was worryingly quiet - despite having superb beer at the cheapest beer outside of Wetherspoons; £2.00 for a pint of Ballards Best (4.2%) anyone?

For a while, it looked like Postie and I would be supping alone and the prospect of an early night loomed large. That was until until Varn and Clare appeared, along with the Bad Ideas Bears.

A return through darkened lanes to the Gosport Ferry and a couple of pint in The Hole in The Wall before getting home around midnight.

Lovely.

Sounds good.  We were out on Wednesday night as well.  We couldn't manage a trip on a boat but we did ford the same river three times and I had a sort of swim.

See you all soon.

Sounds fun, glad you had a good ride Phil.

Sadly I won't be joining one of these again until November at the earliest  :(.

Another cracking sunset and a fine night to be out.

Pint of Moonshine, or three, at the Thomas Lord and a rolling ride through some of southern Hampshire's finest countryside.

It doesn't get much better than that.

Outside of Devon.  ;)
