Happy School Run Sight

Coming in early from the pool today, I passed one of our schooly areas at the right time to catch the school run... and was utterly delighted at the number of bikes.  Kids on bikes.  Parents on bikes with their kids in tow.  Kids on the road, kids on the pavement.

It was almost like old times.

It's great to see, isn't it.

I recently caught a string of about 6 from local junior school, out on the road with trainers.  Probably part of a scheme but I don't know which.  I saw them 3 times over about 45 minutes up to 2 miles away from the school.  Cheered me up that day.

My daughter was at that school, my wife worked at that shool, 2 of my 3 grandsons are still at that school, we still know the head and teaching staff - must get over there and find out all about it.

Regulator:
We have a chap in Pimlico who runs his three kids to school on a triplet with an additional child seat.  'Tis a sight to behold and gladdens the heart of a morning.

Wowbagger:
Last week I attended one of my schools and the bike shed was so crowded I had to do a bit of re-arranging before I could get my bike in.

Valiant:
There's a woman in Shoreditch who takes her 2 kids to school every morning on an ice cream style bicycle cart, really is something special
