Northern DIY's
« on: 20 October, 2010, 09:39:43 pm »
I've been asked by Joe Applegarth to alert any riders intending to enter DIY's through him in the next few days to use an alternative DIY secretary as his computer is out of action. If you need to check on any e-mailed entries from the last few days he is happy for you to ring him.

Cheers

I submitted an entry about an hour ago!  However, it's not due to be ridden until December so I'm sure it can wait.

Thanks for the tip off Mega... I am waiting for a brevet card to come through the post to sneak in a 200 for SR before the close of the audax year...  I suspect it has been lost in the post... that would explain why Joe has not responded to my e-mail... I shall give him a call when I get home from work... Thanks

Danial doesn't do the organising any more  ;) but I take online entries and so does Martin, Alex and Ian.

Payment for cards to be found https://www.aukweb.net/forms/diycards.php
Entry for cards to be found https://www.aukweb.net/forms/entryformdiy.php

Hope that helps  8)

That's great. Can virtual brevet cards be used for luddite DIY's, I was under the impression that they were for GPSies?

Got this from John yesterday, so yes online entry can be done by luddites  ;D

No problem with any of the combinations for DIY events

Receipts +brevet card
GPS + brevet card
Receipts + online entry
GPS + online entry

All versions require pre-agreed control locations to achieve minimum distance and evidence of date and time these locations were visited

Looks like DIYs are going to be coming along nicely in 2011.

That's brilliant. Entry submitted and DIY cards paid for. Lets see how the luddites can cope with all this newfangled technology.

So is Joe's computer back working again?  I'm plotting a DIY, and I have a batch of Joe's cards to use..

The computer is back in commission, so normal service on DIYs has been restored.  Thanks for your patience

Joe

Depends what your definition of Northern is.  I am based in the North West, Leyland.  ;)
