I've never had manflu.  Does this mean I'm not a real man?

Same here. I've not had womanflu either

You mean that like me, you've only ever had flu?

Manflu!!  We can put a man on the moon but we still have no cure!

Something must be done
What is manflu? Is it just a silly way of saying flu, or is it a new disease which only affects men? Or is it just people not understanding what 'man flu' originally meant, i.e. a trivial cold, exaggerated?

Here begins the campaign against the terms 'manflu' & 'man flu' being used on YACF.

Hang on, what are these "Outcome Expectations" I keep seeing in e-mails from on high?

Ugh, the Jimmy Saville jokes weren't funny when the news first broke and you're still making them. Give it a rest for gawds sake.

Bit like me then, except mine's made by my mum.
I had a chunk that looked to be the peel of an entire 1/4 orange in today's sandwich.  Very nice it was too, reminiscent of crystallised orange peel.

Birth Announcements on company email.

I'm sure it's very exciting for the people involved.  However this is a company with 1400 employees, most of whom I will never meet or even know about. FFS, you do not need to tell us all that someone in your team has popped out a sprog, it's quite a common occurrence you know.

Try engagement announcements. From someone in an office on the other side of the world who you’ve never had any dealings with and likely never will.

I guess the trouble with that kind of thing is that once they become engrained, the first happy parent/engagee/whatever who doesn't get a company-wide spam may feel slighted.

We get emails whining at us for issues with a kitchen which isn't even in our building.  The admin lady responsible for these annoying announcements refused to set up a "divisional people whoa re IN the building" list until we started ALL replying and saying "We don't want these emails and are going to complain CCing bosses till you stop".  Moron!

Thankfully we only get 100 people's worth of engagements/births/deaths/charidee (or their family's charidee) nonsense all of which meets the mighty delete key.

All that crap is on the 'opt in' list or restricted to immediately local segments of the organisation (<100 folk). The mandatory lists are mercifully rubbish free.

Our staff total is barely double figures, so we all know everyone's news without emails, and are interested in it!

The other week an e-mail was sent out to the three hundred-odd people using a particular software package in the BigCo.  A Several of menks used "Reply All" to provide the requested information to the originator thereof.  Even after someone had sent a "Reply All" message saying "please do not use 'Reply All' to provide the requested information", further menks did.

To add amusement, and shareholder value, the idiots responsible for the original e-mail have randomly removed the said software from the PC's of various people who need it, thereby proving something although I'm sure I don't know what.

The Monday feeling.

Yes, I know its Wednesday but I've had a couple of days off and my body has obviously decided that today is Monday even though it isn't.

Bleh!
