How much? :o :o :o

Not sure how much use those reflective strips will be under the compulsory hi-viz top on the PBP  ;)

A shame they couldn't bring themselves to use the words Audax or Randonee

Nice pic though

So do I, but I fear that Mrs P would be quite unimpressed by such frivolous spending!

The breast pocket is a nice touch though. I wanted to offer that on the Audax England jersey but Owayo don't do it.

Now, oddly I thought it would be a good looking jersey.... I sensed an itch in my credit card finger... because I like Rapha kit (there, I said it, out and proud).... BUT... I don't like that. No, not at all. And I don't get reflective stripes. Why?

The price is not SO outrageous, not considering there's a gilet thrown in too, but I don't think I'll be purchasing.

Not sure what they mean by ''PBP themed badges''? I couldnt find those in the advert photos, so how is the jersey linked to PBP? As with all Rapha stuff, I'm sure it will be very well -designed and functional,  and importantly for long rides, not too smelly (due to the merino wool).

Pretty things. Ooh.

I want.

It is a lot though. I can have the Rapha rain jacket I lust over for not much more.

Put that way, the rain jacket looks a great price.

If I am riding PBP with 1 kidney, I won't care. I'll be looking good.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

Nicely designed jersey but pink doesn't do it for this bloke.  The price is a bit noticeable too.

I'm not interested in the Jersey but I think their Bryan Chapman ride report does better to sum up the ride, and the spirit of Audax, than any other report I've read. Kudos to Rapha for that.

Very nicely done. But too much of the pink - hopefully they'll do it in another colour scheme at some point.

It's a really excellent report and one that has made me want to start to do audax "properly" to at least see if I could be capable of that ride.

PINK ! >>>>>>It's pink all over. Pink stripe maybe ?

Also I can't see what it has to do with audax, I cant see any decals on the jersey relating to PBP ?

The pink is hi-viz and of course ties in with their colours and as I understand it since you are required to wear a hi-viz item then it's 2 birds with one stone.

The b/w picture of the BCM is great.

And Von Broad gets a mention  ;D

Does it comply with regs though?

I will be riding PBP with one kidney... but that's another story (the key event of which took place when I was 4 which is a long time ago)

That was my first thought. No doubt they'll have researched that and it complies, but it just doesn't seem terribly vi-viz.

Well, other countries require reflective stuff at night (e.g. RUSA and Audax Australia) but don't need an EN standards label.

Brevet is more accurate anyway, including both Audax and randonneur riding.  Audax means allure libre in Oz and the UK, but means scheduled peloton riding elsewhere.

Great article about the BCM and loverly pictures too

As for the £155 quid jersey...I am not personally a fan of merino wool.  Having a gilet included is good, but as the whole package is based on the PBP connection, it is baffling why the gilet isn't EN1150 or EN471.  Maybe it is, and they just don't say?

An Assos Intermediate is a similar (list) price to the jersey.  I know what I'd rather have

In the blog colour pics the gilet looks v.visible but that could be the way the photos have been reproduced

EN standards certification is expensive, it's not just a case of making something that complies with the standards, you have to send items off to be tested to ensure they do.

Rapha probably won't sell enough gilets/jerseys to warrant the significant cost of standards testing.
