Not good pets; they're the only cats that can't retract their claws.  Apart from one of ours, that is, who has been known to walk round the house dragging a cat bed with her  ::-)

Wombats do seem quite cute, although I suspect that as pets they're big enough to potentially cause lots of damage.

Who else remembers Fatso, the Wombat in "A Country Practice" ?
