Would a 10 x 8 tarp configured as simple A frame frontage make a good cooking shelter given that my tent does not have a lobby?

Mrs E and I have often thought about doing this (but never got round to it). I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work.

Based on my recent acquisition of a similar sizes tarp & subsequent experiments with different configurations I reckon your idea is sound.
