Indeed - hope it's nowt serious.

There appears to be a couple pf experimental blueberry cakes in the oven.  Well, the blueberries needed using up....

And my bike has been something approximating to cleaned, and I have a tent and, well, random stuff really in a couple of panniers.  And I have my train tix.  And I know where my towel is....

Oh dear.  I seem to have accidentally made some vegan-friendly cranberry and sultana flapjack.

I tell you what, it's very peculiar baking in daylight!

Unless that means I have to cycle up hills to burn then off!

And BTW, am I the only person wondering not about a car bringing extra things, but carrying my tent and panniers?
Does that mean i'm not a real cycle camper?  :-[

And I dont suppose the one bike is the tandem?

I am considering not bringing my fleece.  Wherever I go, I always seem to end up just carrying it.  Well apart from that night at Rutland when I woke up in the morning to a thick layer of frost on the tent.  Or when I lend it to other, less well-insulated, people.  Scotland in May without a coat...

Is this tempting fate, or just good old-fashioned insanity?

Insanity. I know the forecast's good, but ... it's Scotland. Bring a fleece!

Take you sun tan lotion, Crinkly. You're in for a treat weather-wise.

Just make sure you don't use all the sunshine up - we are due in Castlebay next Friday.

But where would I put the fleece?  I'd have to leave the cake behind!

And anyway, I have a long sleeved jersey.  And an aldi waterproof.  That'll do.  I think I might be packed....

Valencia and I are safely stowed on the x country train, and stealing electrons as I type. Not using their wifi thobut.... gouging buggers! Enough time to cover the journey to glasgow would cost about as much as a months mobile data...

Woo hoo! We're going on.jollydays! And the gigantic red panniers didn't half get me some space on the road across york :)

Uh oh... signalling problems round ardrossan. Trains from.glasgow are apparently currently experiencing 25 minute delays. Fingers crossed they sort it in the next couple of hours!

I just went thru edinburgh waverley and 1) it wasn't some ungodly hour in the morning, 2) it wasn't freezing cold and raining, 3) nobody woke me up to tell me to get off the train and 4) I didn't have to randomly move my bike from one bit of train to another. Hurrah!

My word, this place is beautiful! Lovely ride from the ferry to the campsite made infinitely lovelier by gorgeous golden evening sunshine. And the fact that GlasgowDave and PerkyGirl very kindly transported the panniers in their motor so I didn't have to cart them up the hills :) A most pleasant evening of nattering and a small quantity of boozahol may have been partaken of...
