Veteran Commercial Vehicle Run - Crystal Palace to Brighton - 6 May 2012

(1/3) > >>

Adrian:
Another one for lovers of old machinery. Steam driven lorries, a train of traction engines pulling a massive transformer, vans that either Wallace or Gromit would drive, articulated lorries so small that you wonder why they saw a need to make them bend, and a pretty young woman serving ice-creams. Any or all of these might be seen on the day.

clarion:
I'm afraid my machine can't open the route sheets.  Could you let us know where they are setting off from, and when?

It seems my comments about our non-availability for this event may have been a bit premature :D

Adam:
I'm in, even though it means climbing that big hill in Crystal Palace.

Adrian:
They start from Crystal Palace park. We met up outside a pub on the SE corner of the junction of Anerley Hill, Church Road, Crystal Palace Parade, and West Hill. It might be the Grape and Grain.

Tim Hall:
Having just been back to look at last year's photos, I'd have to say we're up for this again.  The ice cream pretty young woman is No. 14.
