Carradice legendary customer service continues

I've comprehensively worn out my SQR block. It's used to support a Nelson with a fai bit of weight hanging off it and I commute daily with this combination. The last few days the block has been swaying about, so I just tightened the bolts a bit, but this hasn't helped.

I took it to bits quickly this morning and thought that part of the plastic moulding had failed, so e-mailed Carradice who said that on receipt of a photo they'd send me a replacement plastic block as a warranty replacement!

I've now dismantled it properly, originally to photograph it, to find a sad mess of crushed plastic internals, stressed and stretched tensioning bands and worn plastic from the where the bag support has been inserted and removed.

I dropped Carradice an e-mail to say I'll need to replace the whole block, but they're still willing to make this a warranty replacement. I'm just not that dishonest, so have declined, but what fantastic service...

The new super bagman supports with the strut that goes onto the seatpost is due out some time in May, so I will be putting some more cash there way soon anyhow.

As a Carradice owner I have also been impressed with their customer service, more so given I am downunder. Nice to hear that there happy to look after you.

I've got another example of wonderful service from Carradice. One of our panniers had suffered rather on our trip in south america, and lost a couple of rivets. I posted it to them on Monday, with a cheque to cover the return postage and it turned up again yesterday. They've added a couple of other rivets in to keep some of the plastic in place too, as it was lifting away and slightly bent. What great service!

I've also experienced similar service. They stand by their products, and whilst other companies have goals to exceed customer expectations, Carradice actually do it.

I'm more than happy to throw money their way whenever I need bike related luggage, knowing that they actually care about what they are doing.

I detected a small issue with my Camper Longflap. Margaret sent me a mail bag to send it back which I sent on Thursday last. Today (Tuesday) in the post I received a replacement bag Debbie has been replaced by Andrea! Impressive service.
