Endura FS260 Aerogel mitts
Sergeant Pluck:
I've usually gone for various Spesh mitts in the past as the padding works well for me, but they do tend to get pongy quite quickly, and on hot days the palms get a bit loaded up with sweat. In addition, the last couple of pairs were not well put together at all.
Took a chance on these:

I like them a lot. They seem well finished compared to the Spesh mitts, and the gel pads are very well positioned (for me) and absorb vibration really well.
Worth a try.

These are my favourite gloves & I'm onto my third pair. The first pair lasted about 18 months, but saw a massive amount of usage, including training & riding a 1,200 km audax. They were great for all those rides, great padding in the correct places. The second pair fell to bits really quickly because I caught them on a handle rail in a train station, causing one of the gel pads to exploded. Evans replaced that pair under warrant and the third pair are going strong. When this pair die I'll get another pair.
For me they are particular good because they fit my narrow hand really well. Most other mitts have a big gaping hole around the wrist section.

I'm a bit dubious about taking the advice about these mitts being good, despite the positive comments
The reason is that I've bought Endura shorts twice, first time was good. So I got another two pairs (a couple of years later) same type, same size. They were completely different and didn't work for me on long distance rides.
Endura can't be depended on to sell the same products with the same name

I've got a pair and they are my favourite mitts as they have a serious amount of gel padding.
Mine were bought may 2010

This is common for smaller (UK-based) clothing manufacturers. The big names (Assos, Castelli, Santini, Giordana etc) invest a lot into developing - and marketing - their proprietary inserts, so they tend to stay the same (or at least available in the range) for several years. The smaller manufacturers buy inserts in their thousands for a run and I think they're easily swayed by a new choice every time.
I've had the same experience - found some Lusso shorts which were great. Bought two pairs a couple of years later whose pads took on the texture of sandpaper after 60 miles.
