Repeat of last year's ride to Saltburn (though hopefully with less COR and no loss of brake blocks)

Depart NTR @ 00:00, breakfast at Redcar at around 08:00.

Route to follow, but should be roughly the same as last year (easy start, lumpy bit then nice run down into Saltburn/Redcar)

Let me check my diary - I  have tickets for that 5 ringed thing about this time. I'm not sure if I'll be in the North East.

I can, probably, come out to play \0/  What sort of cake do you want this year T?

And the COR section was great.  We should deffo keep that bit!  Will anyone paddle with me in Saltburn this time?

Hmm, I appear to have a prior engagement with a field in the vicinity of Didcot...
With regard to wood not being straight, what do you expect trying to make things out of a dead vegetable!

Sorry - I'm out. It's the weekend  of the Olympics Cycle Road Races and I've sleeping bag space reserved on a floor in London (plus orange cardboard to get me down, but not back, yet).  >:(

I really enjoyed this ride last year and was looking forward to a repeat. There just seems to be too much happening though.

The wedding's the week before (fed duff info via facebook)

I wonder if we could persuade the pub in Redcar to put the road race on the telly :)

This is 3 weeks on Friday! :O

So far we have:
Me (natch)
CL
Mcshroom
LG
Uncle Travelling Mac Deano

Anyone else?

I have checked and there is no racing at Thirsk on the Saturday so trains back to NTR shouldn't be a problem (i.e. no stupid changing at Darlo).

I will try an arrange similar weather to the last time too :)

Yup, the comedy wiggle (i.e. the bit that takes us to the further point north) is for the tea/coffee break @ LG and Crusty's house.

I shall post firm start point details etc in the next week or so (though it will be the same place as before, so those who were there last year will know it)

A local ride! Woo yay!  I would certainly be up for this under usual conditions but I'm riding the 3 Coasts 600 on 28th/29th July and will need my beauty sleep on the 27th in order to look my best. (Look my best - who am I kidding.)

Have fun everyone.

Only a little bit getting out of Saltburn. We may even follow the signs instead of ploughing on through the wood this time.

The route's slightly different this year... Nowt to bother us, though. I'll still be on my Dave Yates with 23mm tyres, probably.
