Polar FT1/2 - opinions sought

Due to the crazy economics of the chest strap batteries, I'm about to buy a new poverty-spec Polar HRM.

Anyone used the FT1 or FT2, and have any feedback? (or see any gotchas about the design of either)?

Yes yes, I know, thanks; but I may as well get a new wrist-unit while I'm at it for the small extra cost (and mine may not last forever).

Yes, I use one of these, very basic but does the job !
Got mine on FS board at Cyclechat for £20  :thumbsup:
