I don't. When did they make them? What did they think they could bring to the pedal party?

Well, they're boxed and old and rare, so they're to be kept on the shelf as a collectible, not used.    So buy them!

as my last year of serious track racing was 1981 they would have been made at the start of the 80's which pre-dates what speedplay suggest

edit: they are very narrow, I had to saw my sidi shoeplates down with a hacksaw to get them to fit inside the supporting bar on the outside edge of the pedal
