I can't stop playing with it!

Sorry, not a smutty post, if you were hoping for that you can switch off now :)

Mrs T bought me a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 for Xmas.

Since then I have spent all my time finding new things to do with it, hardly a waking hour goes by without me doing something with it (playing music, finding out how to push files to it from Linux, watching movies etc etc).

What good things do you do with your tablet.

Oh and a heads up for those who have a tablet and have updated to Android 4.1, Flash won't work, but you can grab the Flash apk file (search for flash android 4.1) via the XDA developers site and install it.  All will work then.

Er, in a word, nothing. I use it for browsing (so we don't both have to fight over the same laptop) but it gets real slow with more than a few tabs open at a time and typing ranges from poor to maddeningly frustrating. Some websites just don't work, especially retailers when you actually want to enter info to make a purchase.
We got a BFO telly for watching films on, a BFO stack of separates and squeezeboxen for listening to music and a kindle for reading.
So really it's just a glorified gateway to yacf, kitteh pr0n and twitter type guff for me....I don't regret buying it, but I wouldn't want it instead of a laptop.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

In addition to browsing, twitter, facebook, and the odd game. Oh and skymap, and some other stuff.

I now use it to fly one of these:

What good things do you do with your tablet.

The tablet is crap, but not quite crap enough to toss it into the bin.

Then again, you'd be amazed the stuff I have lying around here that wasn't tossed away 15 years ago ...

I use mine for keeping up with email and browsing the net on the move.  I also use it as an electronic magnifier, very useful for me.

I have also found a very decent camera app which takes line drawing pictures - a very nice feature which I have a use for  ;)

I said ages ago that the iPad/tablets were solutions looking for a problem.

Then I changed jobs, and moved to an ultra-modern facility which includes not just video (SDI) cabling, but also single and multimode fibre cabling, TCP/IP networking and all the routing and switching kit that goes with it.

There are about 800 diagrams and schedules: 32 .dwg for the central area alone, and we have 7 TV studios, an orchestral studio, a radio drama studio, 10 edit suites and a post production and ingest area.  That's a lot to remember, plus all the glue is newer than anything else I'd ever worked with, so that meant I needed the manuals too - they're mostly .pdf

Suddenly, I had found the problem for which the tablet was the solution!

Indeed.  I forgot to mention that I carry hundreds of documents for reference around as well as taking photographs of contracts etc. daily.
