Some of you might be interested; obviously the camping bit is optional!

Sounds brilliant

Honeybourne's a stone's throw from me so camping would be foolish.

However, Honeybourne is even less than that stone's throw from Bretforton and the wonderful Fleece Inn. Therefore I am tempted to bring my tent as after an hour at The Fleece there's no way I'd be able to drive anywhere. After two hours there's precious little chance I'd be able to cycle anywhere either....

Having just looked in a little more detail at the events that day:

Sounds like a brilliant pub, any advice on where to camp? Oh and any bread pudding going? :)

With a minimum of 10kph that shouldn't be a problem!

The Fleece inn has a grassed area at the back, maybe they would be OK with you pitching a tent. But there are plenty of places to wild camp (when I say "Wild", this is Worcestershire - hardly wild) along the route between Bretforton and Honeybourne. Just make sure you're up and away before the pickers turn up.

As for Bread Pudding; I'm skint. I'd need paying to create another there's-a-litre-of-brandy-in-this-you-know bread pudding. Satisfaction guaranteed though.

These are relatively local to me, so if we are not on holiday I'll probably sing up.

Is this becoming a YACF gathering of some sort?

Maybe we could all do the 100 km to Banbury?

Well the general idea is that it could be a bit of a social gathering  plus riding an audax in company.

I remember the old Cheltenham Flyer having three controls within the first 50km. Madness.

We're on. Marcus and Kirsty from LVIS will host the lightweight campers for £10 a night per person. Please see the other thread for more details and to let me know if your coming and camping as they need an idea of numbers.

I've just entered the flatter of the 2 100s as a) I intend to be sociable and b) it will add to my veloviewer max squares as it covers an area I've never visited before.

I think I'll enter the Banbury 100 and ECE it to 200 riding from home... ECEing the other ride would mean going over the same roads all day, a bit boring... just need to sort out a decent detour to make the ECE into 100 km

OK, filled my first ECE thing (turns out it's the same as a DIY, of which I have done many)... ready for tomorrow's Banbury Cross ride... anyone else?

Have fun - lovely forecast for bike-camping.

(I'm rather shamefacedly woosing out - a number of ailments picked up in recent weeks are making riding a long way tiresome. I'm just being a wimp, sorry.)

Well done for organising the camping and for the cheerleading Julia

Enjoyed the Banbury loop... first to finish too, I managed to catch the tail end of the 200 after Ilmington
