I spotted these on the coventry canal on my commute to work one morning. I had no idea what they were until I'd took a couple of photo's and had a look in a bird book in the local library. Apparently they are quite rare and sadly have since dissappeared.

Nice pics. They are usually either escapees or otherwise introduced. Americsn birds, I always called them "Carolina wood ducks"
