advice on drilling out rear dropout adjuster bolt

As the title says :(

I have about 3-4mm of broken adjuster bolt (M3?) inside a rear dropout.

I've tried a 2mm drill bit on Dremel which made a slight indentation but looks like it would take days (literally).

As there are still a few mm of clear thread at the back of the dropout, it should be OK to destroy what is stuck inside and the touching threads.

How should I really be going about this?

With difficulty, given the size.  If there is anything left to grab with molegrips, soak it in WD40 overnight and then try those.

If not, screwing a new, well lubricated M3 bolt into the hole might start it rotating, although you'll be lucky.  Drilling it is going to be extremely tricky, given the size. I had to drill out an M5 mudguard mounting hole last year and it is almost impossible to do it straight without a pillar drill and some way to hold the dropout perfectly aligned.

With a valuable frame, I would ignore it until next respray, then the framebuilder can do it.

Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

as above give it a good soaking and try to rotate it.
but if you're really not bothered about using it -leave it
