Ah.  OK.
I've always wondered how I'm supposed to spell that and tend to use either version on a pretty random basis.
Things I have learned today.

Mom is also a Brummieism tho.  I've heard Brummies pronounce it Moh-m and write it that way too.

My rotary slidey-cutter guillotine thingy is dying. Sliding left-to-right it cuts beeyootifully. Sliding right-to-left it makes graunching noises and chews the paper.

BT have just made some changes to my email account, moving away from using Yahoo as a provider.  For some reason the new settings didn't play with Mail on my Mac, I had to delete the account & rebuild it.

I've just realised I've lost the emails relating to my Eurostar trip to Belgium earlier in the year, which was delayed by more than 2 hours, entitling me to a free return ticket  >:(

Edit: found a hard copy of the tickets with the booking reference.  That's a free ride to Paris or somewhere next year

I always thought slidey guilotines were designed to cut in one direction?

Oh This!  A thousand times this.

My morning routine has always been:
Get up nice and early.  After the three Ss, loaf around kitchen, checking e-mails, yacf, listen to the Toady program on R4, gaze glumly into the top of a mug of coffee, that sort of thing.  It's my private time.  It's for me.

Now bloody lodger is also up, wants chats, wants cheerfulness.  I don't do talking in the morning.  I just don't.

The "Dahle 508 Personal Trimmer" (oo-er) was designed to cut both ways, but that's GERMAN teckno-loggy for you.

ETA: And this morning it's slicing both ways again ???

Used sliding cutter a lot, often it is just a bit of paper stuck. Most of times they just fall out other times you need to pick it out.

not necessarily in this order: Shower, shave, shit and a shag.  I must confess my own days rarely get off to that good a start  ;D

They were where I left them. Lunch time is just long enough to get home and get back to work again but I had to shift a bit :)

I did that once - drove home at Ludicrous Speed to find a note from the postie1 saying he'd locked the door and left the keys with someone across the road. Just as well he didn't put them through the letterbox - I'd have been royally screwed as my 'spare' set of keys is with my parents. In County Durham.

1 - we're fortunate enough to have a 'regular' postman. I left him a token of my appreciation at the post office.

I've been meaning to a) change that lock to a non-snap, non-bump one*, and b) hide a spare back door key somewhere just in case I get locked out, for a while

Think this might have just given me an appropriate shaped tuit for those.

*and one I definitively know the Estate Agent/previous owners don't have a key for

My postie once dropped in a neighbours key, who had left it in the door.  Soon as the postie was away I was over there, but the place was full of crap bikes so I didn't Nick anything!

I was driving to Bristol on an occasion, I got as far as Charfield when I had the strong feeling that I had forgotten something and turned around. The front door was wide open.

I got up in the morning some years ago to find the front door wide open.

Other times I have:
Left the keys in the front door lock all night.
Left the car keys in the passenger door lock (next to the pavement) all night
Left a bike out front of the house all night. (Twice)
