Ba'al's spent the night at the vets
« on: 18 October, 2013, 06:19:15 pm »
Poor kitteh's home from a stay at the vets.  I got home last night and he was limping about looking sorry for himself.  He'd been fighting (either with one of the local cats or possibly with his brother) and had got himself a few cuts and scrapes, as well as a bashed up rear paw.

The vet gave him painkillers, antibiotics and there was nothing broken so this morning he had a little procedure to drain the pus from his paw and flush it with saline. He was groggy when I got him back:

...and it's clearly a bit hurty still:

I've separated him from Belphagor and he's going to have to get used to the litter tray again for a few days.  They both prefer to go in the garden and they make a horrid mess when they are forced to use cat litter, so I've put a tarp down in the living room and he'll have to make do:

He's had a little nibble of something to eat:

Belphagor (who can see him through the glass doors) seems... unconcerned:

He's doing his best to bugger up my weekend - I've got to take him back to the vets in the morning for the dressing to be changed.  Apparently, if all goes to plan we can expect the usual rodent slaughtering service to be resumed in a week or so.

He looks unutterably cute.  He'll never live it down.

Aww kitteh!  Hope his foot gets better soon and the litter tray mess isn't too bad.

Crikey! You really *are* prepared for the poopocalypse!
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

She is, but she has done everything except cover the leg in cling film to make an attack of teh runs easier to deal with.
It is simpler than it looks.

The DEATH of small squeaky things that live on the Ruislip branch of the Central Line is currently curled up in a ball, snoring in really rather unattractive way.  Bless his little nylon sock.

Aw - thanks for the offer, but I think I've got it covered now.

Yeah - I still remember the time we came home to find my previous moggie Montezuma's dirty protest in the hallway.  In fairness, he was very old and it was probably my own fault for not heeding my friends' warnings about nominative determinism...
