Yup, Meares won heat 2 fair and square.  Awful tactical error by Pendleton - she took the bait just as she was meant to.

Damn, Vicky got the tactics wrong there. Fair result really. Disappointing though.

Meares actually did stray into the sprinters line but we can't expect consistency, can we?

Should she be relegated for losing her visor..

That's the third time - and this time it was deliberately ripped off. Throw the book at her, Monsieur Commissaire!

Looked like it to me. Question is whether or not she was a full bike length ahead at the time...

VP doesn't look in a fit state for a rematch anyway.

Yebbut Meares was winning easily; drifiting out of line wouldn't have made any difference to the outcome.

I see she was riding withiout a h*lm*t though, which should provoke stern censorship from BSHIT.

Vicky should elbow Mears off the podium when she's about to get her gold medal.

Seen on Twitter: Thing with Chris Hoy is that when he wins, we call him Scottish, and when he loses hell freezes over.

Respect indeed.  Will Chris's mum ever live down that bit of film where she was watching the Keirin.  Bet the family puts it on every Christmas.

Does anyone else remember Alan Wells' wife shouting at him winning the 100 metres in Moscow? This got a mention yesterday but the BBC don't seem to be able to find the footage.

What is the name of the young lad who has been fronting the cycling for the BBC? He's one of the best commentators/link men I've heard for ages.
