I had no problems after my second AZ jab.
D doesn't seem to be suffering from anything after his second AZ jab.
His left shoulder pain persists but might be resolving slowly.

There's a lot of discussion.on this in the P&OBI "when will you get vaccinated?" thread too.

It's amazing.  Getting a vaccine caused the weather to change.
I got the power to levitate and shoot laser beams out of my eyes. I wasn't expecting this and sadly it was temporary. For the next jab, I'm going to have my enemies and everyone who has slighted me lined up so can work through them and turn them into smouldering charcoal.

July 15th, it will be raining at my second jab location.      Location withheld for personal reasons, but I'll put my money on it and must remember to check back in here to confirm.

No effects from first jab back in March, but have had 8 hours of feeling too tired to do much (comparitively - 3 lots of washing, lawns cut, floors cleaned, half an hour on the allotment, etc...)
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

I just had a long natter to my pal Mel (73-ish), whom I haven't seen for quite a while. He told me that his first Pfizer jab started his asthma off. The second made it much, much worse, to the point that he was avoiding going to the loo for as long as possible as climbing the stairs caused breathing difficulties. It's over a month since his second dose and he's been to see his doctor, who has prescribed steroids etc. His daughter-in-law is a consultant specialising in respiratory stuff, so he's getting decent advice, and he thinks things are gradually improving.

EDITED TO ADD:

Oddly enough, the weather round my way was lovely first thing, and was still nice when I got my 2nd jab, but it clouded over at lunchtime and now it's raining.

D had his 2nd jab a week ago, I observed some bruising at the injection site today. I don't think he's had anything else.

had my 2nd jab this am. Nothing to report. I did feel a little tiredness when doing some exercise this eve. though.

2nd jab (AZ) yesterday first thing. No effects apart from slightly sore arm overnight and at present (as opposed to the first which had me in bed with the shivers by the evening).

Similar to D then.

Just to add to our collection of anecData. I've had two AZ Jabs 12 weeks apart. As far as I am aware, I've not had Covid.

First one 4pm, felt OK going to bed that evening, but soon developed fever, aches and mild delirium through the night with little sleep. Completely wiped out the following day with aches and fever and bed bound. Moderate tenderness around my jabbed arm. Second day was still very wiped out but could get out of bed. Took about 6 days to get back to normal.

Second jab two days ago also at 4pm. Recognised a similar but milder 'heady' feeling by early evening. Took precautionary paracetamol and slept through the night. Next day a little tired but started OK. But by 11am aches and fatigue started again and retired to spend most of day in bed. Similar tenderness around jab site. Next day, still a little tired and 'heady', but far less severe, probably about the same as 'day 3' after first jab.

So overall, similar significant reactions to both jabs, but second one not quite as bad as first.

2nd AZ shot yesterday. No noticeable after-effects - which could mean of course that our immune systems recognized the adenovirus shell around the mRNA DNA and destroyed the vaccine before it could start work...

Somebody please refute this.

While possible, there has been no evidence in any of the trials to date that this is a significant effect with the current two-shot regimen. There will be some immune clearance of vector, but only a modest level needs to find its way into dendritic cells to trigger a significant immune response, both the adenovirus vectored and encapsulated mRNA vaccines trigger an intrinsic adjuvant effect through nucleic acid sensing mechanisms – these basically amp up the immune system by releasing interferon and several cytokines – in the dendritic cells, which kicks off a strong response (in part this is probably why these vaccines have more notable side-effects).

Nice to know, thanks, Ian.

Of course I should have written DNA, not mRNA.

Just got my 2nd short (Moderna, first was AZ) and it's been prolonged feverish/brain fog. Not enough to sleep, but enough to not being able to focus on anything. Hopefully it'll be gone by tomorrow.

I had second jab a couple of weeks ago.

Other than sweating buckets in the motorbike gear waiting in the hot sun in the car park for the 15 minutes before I was allowed to "drive" (I didn't want to get pernickety as to whether I was driving or riding), no effects from either.

Full on flu-symptoms over night. That wasn't fun. Much better now.

This is almost identical to my experience (also with AZ). I had the first jab about 3pm on a Tuesday and the effects didn't really start to kick in until the following morning, but then they were pretty bad and I was pretty much incapacitated for the whole of that Wednesday. Wasn't back to normal until around Thursday lunchtime, but still felt a bit wiped out for a few days after.

Had the second jab first thing yesterday morning (11 weeks after the first). The effects started to kick in around 7pm - and like you, I recognised what was happening so did the precautionary paracetamol thing. I was in bed by 8.30pm.

Still feeling rough today but not nearly as bad as after the first jab.
