Second only to the Clangers in my personal TV cartoon pantheon.
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

My mother taught my sister and me to whistle.  The "test" at the end was to whistle the theme to Roobarb.

Also reminds me of the joke: I found a DVD labelled "Nasty Pink Pussy" in my five year-old's bedroom!  Turned out to be old episodes of Roobarb.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

I had the Roobarb & Custard theme as my ringtone for a while. Had to change it though - it gave me a heart attack every time my phone rang.
"The future's all yours, you lousy bicycles."

The theme tune is an awesome piece of music by Johnny Hawksworth*

Fun fact - he also wrote the famous Thames Television ident.

*Not to be confused with the equally legendary Alan Hawkshaw who wrote the greatest TV theme of all time - "Chicken Man" aka the Grange Hill theme...
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!
