I've noticed that one of the speakers for an Active Travel conference I've just signed up for is called John Green.  He's the Low Carbon City Officer at Plymouth City Council.

They've also got someone talking called Sarah Elms, who's Head of Sales at a company called Human Forest.

There's not much in Wombleton, but there is a household waste recycling centre, where - I have it on good authority - they make good use of the things that they find. You know the sort of thing: the things that the everyday folks leave behind...

The BBC have just interviewed a consultant psychiatrist about murderer, necrophiliac and general weirdo David Fuller.  His name?

I give you Jason Pilley, of the Psychedelic Movement. He was the second placed candidate in yesterday's by-election in Southend West.

I can't believe no-one has yet mentioned Mr Gerald Hadoke, CEO of the Foyle Fisheries Commission in 1959.

Somewhat unfair, you've had years to get that one in and you wait till now, with no jibes at his predecessors who set that deal up?

Well, struggle away.

My nominating him for this thread is nothing whatever to do with deals with Russian energy/petroleum companies, but the sheer lunacy that we've had a good two decades in which to ditch fossil fuels and move onto renewables, but here we are, still reliant on stuff which is firstly wrecking the planet and secondly causing the entire world to be in hock to some of the nastiest of regimes.
