I think papermill lock might require a scuba kit?

On Sunday evening the alternative route (church Rd from Boreham) was flooded over axle depth, and it was impossible to see where the road went, and it was dark :o
I'll check out the local routes later today...

Bumfords Lane also has a lot of history with flooding, and some pretty big potholes in the flooded sections.

I was expecting Bumfords lane to be under water, but the Church road side was a surprise, especially how deep it was.

I'll be along tonight, via a non-flooded route ... 30 yards of the lane from High Roding to High Easter was still under water on my way home last night, though passable with dry feet due to some judicious one-legged pedalling. I think this was where Raymond nearly came to a soggy stop, on Brazier's Run on Sunday according to Big Saxon. Nearby there was also a tree to climb over, though that has now been dealt with. Having done some route optimisation earlier in the ride and done the Tomsk's Time-Portal thing, I went the long way round via the Spotted Dog to avoid this known flood prone spot.

Sounds like you've got your route sorted Tomsk, not sure about the Witham peloton though. I've visions of OD leading the peloton into a huge puddle, disappearing underwater, then still cycling, appearing wet but unscathed out of the other side, Danny MacAskill style.

Hoe Mill lock is passable (The Causeway), the bit North of the lock is a big puddle but I just used the walkway to get past it.  It looked rideable when I watched car drive through after I had started walking across the footway.

Don't worry, as long as you can still breathe it'll be fine.

Next week: an Arrow Pubinar at the OT, if enough of the potential riders can make it. I promise to keep it brief and not to cajole the retired randonneurs to our end of the table.

Is this open to none ACME ? (I know Mallet Noir were considering a team and there was a lot of talk on Twitter)

Its still work in progress but our plans for Easter might allow me to take part in the ACME Not An Easter Arrow But Something Similar.  We could have a table for each arrow or do we need two pubs?  ;D

Where/What is the OT? I quite fancy coming along tonight to see if I can get in the arrow mood (or the not an arrow arrow mood). I have a trip into London tomorrow so I may potentially be a motor assisted.

We have this 'classic' Witham Peloton route to the OT, unless anyone has any other suggestions.
For tippers' benefit the OT is at 30.3km on this route.
