Pretty!

Thank you.  Haven't actually seen it yet.  If I stop feeling sea sick I will see it this week.

My new forks have arrived! Phone call from Ms. B to let me know. Now I'll be quivering with impatience until I get home.

Expect pictures of the bike when the forks are fitted.

Mr R has just been appointed to a locum consultant post.  This is nice as it includes a £20k p.a. pay rise and puts him in front running for the permanent consultant post he's after in Cambridge.

Oh - does that mean that Liverpool might be starved of the pleasure of your presence?

I have just bought a fabulous 3/4 length purple velvet jacket.  Hurrah!

(It was reduced by £90 but don't ask me what it cost - normally I'm a rumpled 'Man at Primark')

The Mercian now has two mudguards on it for the first time since the Dun Run, or more correctly for the first time since arriving at The Inn on the Green. I have acquired a 27 * 1⅛ Panaracer Pasela from the good people at Spa Cycles so the wheel now spins without the tyre fouling the guard. The bike & I got covered in crap last Saturday when Del & I tested the February Warty.

Our Kid has bought himself a bike!

Bad news: It's a £10 BMX from the Salvation Army shop.

Good news: He'll ride it.

Excellent news Clarion.

My good news, my dad is in recovery, I don't know anything other than that at the mo.  I can't tell you how relieved I am. :)

Consultant said he gave my dad a 'Rolls Royce Operation' as he was a lot worse than they thought.  He is ok, not very well at the moment though.  Still on a ventilator.  Early days.  Relief does some funny things to a person.

Mine too. I'm a skinny bugger but I seem to have developed this rather large lump of fat around my middle over Christmas and none of my trousers fit. I finally saw the scales going in the right direction this morning.

My sister and BIL are coming to stay tonight so I'm about to retire to the kitchen to be creative with left over lamb and puff pastry. Other ingredients may be involved.

Please note, this food will be prepared in a kitchen that contains a nut.

Charlotte, Nutty and I went to see a Man about a Bike. And we rode one - well, I had stabilisers fitted, but Charlotte roamed free. Pics to follow.
