Post by: Oxford_Guy on 10 July, 2018, 10:55:21 pm
Just saw that Lezyne have a new cycling mapping GPS unit our soon - MEGA C GPS: http://www.lezyne.com/product-gps-megacgps.php

Looks quite interesting and price is reasonable, would be interested to see some reviews (e.g. DC Rainmaker)

Why would I pay over £200 for something that is already free on my phone.

I’d prefer to put a device like that on the bars rather than a more expensive phone, plus it will preserve the phone battery to use in case of emergency on longer rides

This. Also if I want to use a GPS device when on my Brompton (not my only bike), there is only space on the M-bars for a small device.

Also have you tried using a phone touchscreen in the rain or in winter with thick gloves?

I'm currently using a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt - love the buttons instead of touchscreen, very long battery life, small size, and LCD screen that's no problem to read even in direct sunlight
