So, no one has said

1. Open bin
2. Place record player in bin
3. Install streaming service on desired devices
4. Set streaming quality to 'studio'
5. Install equaliser labelled 'degrade output to vinyl quality'

You need two to four months.
It WILL happen.
It’s not happened yet.
Give It TIME!
Eat well.
Rest well.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOSE WEIGHT!
Eat a sensible diet and don’t eat TOO much fattening food if you’re worried.

Chill out till the solstice -watch and enjoy the Spring.

Give It TIME!

Just because there’s not much to see externally from your surgery, you shouldn’t forget this has been a MAJOR insult to your insides.

Take it easy.
Don’t stress out!
If you can afford a beach bum holiday now, go for it - just sun, sitting, eating and a little culture/entertainment.

Too much activity at this stage can be counterproductive.

Give it TIME!

Hope you’re feeling more energetic soon!

Thought that Ddrescue is for damaged data, this isn't damaged.

Going to try the latest hirens tomorrow....and see what there is

It's for getting data from devices that aren't necessarily playing ball.

I would go to it first, cos you never know what other damage you might do otherwise.

But then again, I have a Sonos line in/out thingy ...
So I can stream my scratchy old vinyl to modern Sonos speakers!
Ooh! Details/link please? TIA

Mine is a Sonos Connect, but I understand that's been discontinued and replaced with the Sonos Port, which looks much the same.

but costs even more..  I won't touch Sonos stuff again, as they seem keen on leaving users in the dirt after a few years.  My Sonos connect no longer did (connect) as it failed to meet the most elementary security standards, so my NAS refused to entertain it.  I bought a complete new Denon home cinema amp with their Heos system, which is far better than the Sonos ever was, for less than £100 more than a replacement Sonos Port.  Sonos appear to be aimed at trendy types who will pay over the odds for the image and name.  The Android interface was truly appalling, and bore no resemblance to the PC interface.  My old home cinema amp was fine, but 7 years old, and has a new home now.
