If there are any more for Feering, then I'd quite happily pootle along. Given it's so close 'n all.

The Sun is closed until 5:30 and not answering their phone, will try to reserve table 2 when they have had their afternoon snooze and are answering the phone again.

Only c333333 and the Variant know the Colchester route to Feering, they weren't going the wrong way, they say.

This Wednesday, what to do?

I theory we can meet indoors but the mood music playing from some Bluetooth speakers suggests outdoors is still best.  I am heartily sick of sitting outside a nice warm pub but...

The rule of six still applies I believe.

Rule of 6 still applies. We only have 1 table of 6 inside plus I’m not going to take multiple table bookings inside. Though I might have some heating on, occasionally… I’m not about this week as it’s Mum’s birthday.
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

I’m happy to sit outside, in fact I’d prefer it for a while longer, especially if we see a few more degrees moving forwards! That’s if I can make it at all this week as I’ll be rather busy.

We either split into groups of up to 6 and sit inside or we go somewhere with good outside facilities and all sit together.

The weather doesn't look particularly balmy this week but I am happy with either approach.

A bigger group outside sounds good.  Any preferences on venue?

We had the "last supper" with 13 of us present at the Cross Keys in September.

I have to say the Sun was good last week but it might be a bit eastern-centric. Ditto for the Totham Swan (incidentally, I met (tagged on the back of  ;)) a peloton of guys about our age last week who were out on a regular Wednesday night cycle which they said finished at the Swan).

The SH is the other option but us very-easterners have become used to arriving home before 2am.
