Rome to Home
« on: 01 November, 2013, 11:15:18 pm »
Hi I'm Bunbury.  You might remember how I took the long route back from Rome last year and had a couple of close shaves: there was one with Cerberus in Italy, then there was the randy stallion encounter in Croatia - interspersed for light relief with the flying Mercedes of Senj.

Now I've finished faffing around as a student and got a proper job, I've had time to finish off my journal.  Here it is, provided for your delectation.

I remember the earlier episodes, but this is going to take a while - I'll be back!

Another excellent write up, Mr B. Travelling through a country where you can't speak the language is daunting, but you seem to have coped admirably. Well done.

I rarely, if ever, manage to get all the way through a ride report the length of that one, usually due to boredom of repetition and dull writing*.

Yours, however, I read in one shot, end to end, brilliant write up and a magnificent ride!

Chapeau!

*I know, form experience, how difficult it is to write a multi-day ride report with resorting to repetition or falling into dull writing.  I don't think I have managed it yet :)

Fantastic write up Greg and quite an achievement. I have to say that your style of touring makes me tired just reading it, I am more of the 'trekking tourist' type.  ;)

Thanks Tony.  Here's the question though: do you carry any oil?

In that case, remind me to find you next time I've come badly prepared.
