No photo I'm afraid, but on Saturday the Prince St Bridge was swinging - to let a hen party on a boat through.

That's this one:

Prince Street Bridge.

It swings sideways (to the right and away from the camera).
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

I forgot about these ones, but found them again tonight. They are both from the Lochs and Glens route.

This one crosses the river in Dumfries

This one is on the way out of Irvine towards Glasgow. It's a cycle path and the L&G south goes over it.
Climbs like a sprinter, sprints like a climber!

So there I was, making my way down the Belgian coast somewhere near Zeebrugge, when I noticed that the road (including cyclepath) had reared up ahead of me.

Nothing appeared to be happening, so I did a U-turn and found another crossing, then found the other sided of the bridge, and the reason it was open.

Yet Another Belgian Bridge hindering my progress giving me a good excuse for a breather.

Barrier and bridge

Ship just visible heading seaward

Bridge starts to swing

Nearly there

Now wait for the barrier to rise

Have we had Berwick yet?  Probably, though it's three superb bridges are always worth another look.

When it was build the Humber Bridge was the suspension bridgde with the longest span in the world

I ran across it when it was.

Which was nice.
It is simpler than it looks.

Taken on my recent international cake-couriering mission on behalf of CrinklyLion:

Got lucky on the train at Newcastle...

Forth Road Bridge from the rail bridge, Traditional Scottish Weather looming...

And on the return trip:

North end of the road bridge, as viewed from a 1-star bus shelter in the pissing rain...

A brief gap in the weather provided a sane opportunity to cross...

Sadly, this is the best view you get of the rail bridge from the cyclepath on the west side (the one on the east is closed for maintenance)...

And for maximum randomness, this view from the south-east...

I found some "bridgelike objects" from one of my trekking trips in Nepal  :

Unfortunately these are most likely gone now, they are from within 30 km of the massive 6.9 earthquake
that hit Nepal/India yesterday

Bridge over the Rhein in Wesel (I've seen someone else post a picture of it earlier)
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been too many days since I have ridden through the night with a brevet card in my pocket...

A fine day for bridge-spotting in Shropshire today.

Starting at Bridgnorth

then upstream by the Severn to Coalport Bridge. The pub next to the bridge is The Woodbridge. Presumably a wooden bridge existed here before this one, and was so named to distinguish it from the famous ferrous one a couple of miles upstream.

Next was the pedestrian Jackfield and Coalport Memorial Bridge.

A modern A-frame cable-stayed bridge.

And finally Ironbridge

and some of the dovetail joints to join the prefabricated ironwork

My favourite bridge that crosses the Wharfe is the bridge at Barden Tower. I dont have a photo of that one yet.
