Sorry to have missed Barakta.   We're on a train having had a great day in fine company.   Oh, and I won the pooh sticks:   Honest...

Train time mis-information at New Mordor means that we are now in a curry house opposite Coventry station.

And the rest of us (minus basil who has large quantities of chicken) have retreated to our house for takeaway curry...

Sorry to have missed you too PB.  Faffing at my prior engagement, train being late, Mordor being HORRENDOUS now and so on made me very late.

It was good to have caught DibDab, Basil, Nikki and Kim at the Mac for a drink before CURREH! *Full of food*

Oh my goodness what an excellent day. Absolutely shattered now though! Thankfully I'm now tucked up safely in bed with a kitteh purring on my chest.

Thanks to Nikki for organising and for returning me to my automobile, the Rowers for entertainment and the awesome trimphone, Mssr et Mlle PB for pooh sticks shenanigans, Basil for failing at not one but two deserts, and to Kim and Barakta for their welcoming hospitality and curry-organising!

My double fail.

Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Ooops.  :-[

Big thanks to nikki for a top, if rather left field idea with a bunch of cyclists, and, for being such a great walk guide.   Looking forward to the next one already     :-*

Fab! PB reckons this should be a regular event so that we gain mass it gains momentum.
I reckon having a chiddler or two along next time will help us gain legitimate entry to the playgrounds en route :)

Oooh! Regular event... with children... Make the next one a Saturday not a Sunday and I might provide one.  ;D
Looks like great fun from the photos.

'twas fun - eating, walking, talking, exploring and I kind of did a bit of tree-climbing at one point. S'all good. Even the cagoules turned out to be surplus to requirements!

No kite flying in the end, but that's because we opted for more cake, beer and lounging around on sofas instead :)

Oh, just one thing.
Why have you edited me out of all the photos and photoshoped in some old git in my place?

You're welcome and, don't worry, you said thanks as we were leaving - I don't need it in writing too!

That's why it's important to eat all your puddings, m'dear - if you don't stay plump enough all the wrinkles start to show. *demonstrates youthful complexion*

I don't know what you're worried about Basil.   Look at that BFB that nikki edited in to replace me.    Oh...     :D

When we were mucking about with giant spoons etc at Kings Norton Junction, I pointed out the guillotine lock in the distance and mentioned that it was being re-molished.
Seems they've finished.

We received a parcel today.

When Photobucket decides to behave, I shall post some further explanation.

Suffice to say: Thank you!

Hope it survived the journey.  Looked a bit dubious that it would survive the walk...
