Our interesting commute today
« on: 06 November, 2008, 10:01:45 am »
Bang!Ting!

Mrs J needed the car, as the insurance hire car has now left the building and we haven't yet got a replacement car, it was cycle to school for my lad.

He said that his front tyre was a bit flat when he last used it. As that was about 6 weeks ago and it still had a lot of air in it I pumped it up. Off we went and as we wait to turn off the main road to the cycle track I hear the noise. I turned to him and said was that you? "No. Oh, yes, my front tyre!"

So we walked back to the house and I was contemplating him being late and my excuse phone call was prepared. Then I had a brilliant idea. Up with the saddle and he has gone to school on a pink bike.  ;D

Just wait 'til his sister finds out...
It is simpler than it looks.

Kudos to him for being prepared to ride it at all!

Does his sister need to know? ;)

First thing she said to me when she got home from school:

"Where's my bike!!"

We had a lovely evening commute, tooled up with two front Dinottes, a Fenix and a rear Dinotte and a cateye. Felt very visible and the cycle track was great fun with so much forward light.

He enjoyed the day, which is good, for we will have to do it again next week. I rather fancy the prospect of doubling my commute like this. Al though I do appreciate that at some point he won't want me to accompany him any more.
