Jan and I have been attending a drawing class each Friday morning for the past 10 weeks or so. Today our tutor suggested we meet in "The Forum", which is part of Essex Uni and where our local library is. We were intending to attempt some perspective-laden pictures, looking down from the first floor into an open area. Quite by chance, one of the staff asked us if we were interested in a preview of an exhibition which is being prepared for opening tomorrow. It contains the work of Paul Anthony Harford, an amateur artist who, apparently, "produced hundreds of meticulous large-scale drawings" (they are almost 3' square) but refused to allow them to be displayed during his lifetime. He died in 2016 and his family alerted the local artistic community to the existence of his work.

I have no pretensions towards artistic ability, but I think his work is amazingly good. It would not surprise me in the slightest if it becomes very famous.
