Coincidentally I was listening to Freebird, and the guitar work he and Steve Gaines did. I was fortunate enough to see the original lineup on their last UK tour in '77.

Gaines didnt arrive until 1976. It was Allen Collins.

Steve Gaines played on the live version of Free Bird on “One More From The Road” recorded in July 1976.
