OK, since we've not got further with M le Maire's, I'll give another.  It's one of those you either know or you don't, so it might be tricky.

Brigitte Arendt, with Strange, Ure, Egan, Currie & McGeogh.

Jacqui Chan, with the Shulman brothers.

What did they add?

I'm guessing unsung vocals ...

And w.r.t M le Maire:
I'm thinking waste disposal ...

that'll be "ten million pounds of sludge from New York and New Jersey" (Monkey Gone to Heaven - Pixies)

RJ, that was awful fast!

Yes, Brigitte Arendt added the French spoken vocal on Fade to Grey by Visage

Jacqui Chan spoke the 'oriental' words on Kites by Simon Dupree and the Big Sound (there was no Simon Dupree).  The band say that they have no idea what she said, and neither did she.  It's not clear whether she said something phonetically or made it up.  It just sounded right.

If anyone can decipher Jacqui's vocal, I'd be interested to hear.

Not actually the song I had in mind when I posed the question (I was thinking of the line "Estaba pensando sobreviviendo con mi sister en New Jersey" from "Vamos"), but Sir has indeed Named That Band.  The other references are:

Paris - Alec Eiffel
Turkey / Syria / Iraq - River Euphrates

(Consults the Oracle of Bacon).

Marc Riley was in "An Audience With Kylie Minogue", as was Melinda Messenger, who was also in "An Audience With Ronnie Corbett", as was Nigel Kennedy.  Were Ronnie Corbett, Melinda Messenger and Kylie Minogue in some odd kind of plural marriage ;D

I know this, do I have to provide a question if I give the answer?

corrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrect

Brix E Smith married Mark when Mark's band "The Fall" were touring the US.  At this point Marc Riley was the bass player in "The Fall" but he left the band shortly after citing being pissed off with Mark E Smiths high handed way of running things.

Brix came to the UK with Mark E and was in the band for two periods, including when they did the ballet "Curious Orang" with Micheal Clark

In the end she got fed up with the drunken Mr Smith and hooked up with Nigel Kennedy.  I think they may have married, not sure.

Nowadays, Brix is on the Gok Wan show

Robert Calvert blew the tubular bell and used it to make 1970s  version of his classic "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White"

Simples.

The late, great and incomparable Vivian Stanshall had a  speaking role on both Tubular Bells and Captain Lockheed.
