Title: PBP qualification
Post by: Wycombewheeler on 25 August, 2022, 04:10:55 pm
I see from the PBP announcement page, that first qualification window is for people with 1000km BRMs, I assume this includes LRMs of 1200km plus? (such as LEL)

It's a 1000k and up.    I believe.   Not sure I can point you at anything that confirms that, though.

Is that right that you only got two and a bit weeks at the tail-end of winter to get your 200k qualifier in?  Or was AUK more generous?

Not sure what happened in 2019 but for 2023 this applies:

Quote
The qualifying dates in the UK for PBP have been confirmed as

200: Sat 7 Jan - Sun 30 Apr
300: Sat 11 Mar - Sun 21 May
400: Sun 9 Apr - Sat 10 Jun
600: Sat 6 May - Sat 24 June

We set our dates.  The major reason for windows is so as not to overload the AUK validation system.  The crucial one is the final weekend, which only leaves a week to confirm validation for PBP entrants.

I always thought so,  and the document posted by Lightning Phil states 1000 brm or 1200rm.

That settles which date I should plan for my 3 Reservoirs 200 then, the 30th April was the first of 3 possible dates I had in mind.
