Gerald had exhausted himself and was in need of treatment after playing swing ball for longer than was good for him.

That's GeraldC (OTP) in the cozzie.

I think one of the best bits is Gerald and his friend from the Upper Cretaceous Period taking the train home after the event, and the other is reading (from stuff written by Gerald) that his girlfriend (who is an architect) made the models of London's significant landmarks, and was singularly unimpressed at having T-Rex destroy them and then have them consigned to the bin. She was hoping to hang onto them. But what can you do when you are dealing with such a monster? :P

1 Doesn't really give the full effect of the destruction of models of London landmarks, nor that of the recreational pastime of T-Rex playing Swingball.

I've not been here for many years, and it also brought back happy memories to me.     Was it really 2009?

It was dawning on Nicola that, in an attempt to curb her anaesthetic abuse, the dental assistants had added a little extra "something" to the laughing gas.

(The OP reminds me of an old Ed McLachlan cartoon from Punch magazine (https://punch.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Ed-McLachlan-Cartoons/G0000zAtEfUzE.Ho/I00009J_CQWvMCJ0))
