what has become of the baton? It appears to have been hijacked onto another thread.
Lets get it back on here so that we all know where it is.
It appears to have somewhat taken root in that London! :)

It's in London, with Ham.  A planned handover to me had to be abandoned because of bad weather, and we haven't had a chance to rearrange.  Sadly, I'm too ill to ride atm, so it may have to go to someone else, and we'll hope for it to come our way.
Getting there...

Come on Londoners..... is there nobody out there?

I have a few logistical problems at the moment, but The Mission needs to continue.

Hmmm - thinking ahead - would it like a little trip to Edinburgh and back?

Happy to carry it for a good section of LEL.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

I confess I have some plans for the handover, that WILL involve a third person to record the event and if you'd be interested, would you be able to do a midweek handover? There's an office in Bedfont I can work at, Heathrow could be the backdrop for a handover? Wednesday?  Failing that soddit I can ride anywhere in London, just have to fin the time.

I'd be happy ferrying the baton back to the LEL off (just up the road from me, anyway) but it really is high time someone else had a crack.

It's in London atm, it will end up at some stage in JoG,it has a life to live before then.

And there was me assuming that this thread would be inundated with volunteers as soon as the baton got within a gnat's hair of the M25...

A bit later I will have a look at my work schedule for the next couple of weeks and see if I can ride home from the London office one evening.

Come on you Londoners, get your backsides out of Look Mum No Hands, hop on your trendy fixies and get The Baton moving again  ;D

If it can be passed back to me in the next few weeks It may be possible to relay it to Darlington thereafter to move it northwards et al.
