It's only a matter of time before Mr Clooless Criminal posts his pics there and lets Plod know exactly where he has been...

2 examples (from AUK AGM dinner) to show the effect of flash on and off (Sony K800i)
The K800i has a 'proper' xenon flash rather than an LED light.  Up to about 6 feet it's pretty usable.  However, it seems to do a decent job with indoor ambient light (although it was very bright indoor lighting)

Flash Off

The K800i is a pretty good phone, a reasonable media player and quite a good camera.  I wasn't sure whether to post this here or on the panorama thread....

Driving to work this Friday morning I went up through the clouds past Spelga Dam, and when I popped out on the Kilkeel side of the Mournes I just had to stop and take a couple of pictures.

What's this bottom line for anyway?

Fantastic Séamas!  :)

I used to ride in the Mournes quite a bit.

Inspired by this thread I finally got around to dumping some of the pics off my phone. (another K800i).
I was quite pleased with this one given that I just fired it off on the way to work.

Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

That really is excellent.  It's done a surprisingly good job of the exposure and colour balance.

Did you have to do any colour-balancing or 'post-processing'?

Nice one Mrs P.  The little patch of sun-on-snow railing highlight on the right gives a good bit of foreground interest/balance, IMO.   :)

Also for blogging an E2E  ;D

I'll be either using twitpic/twitter or flickr/davids big end to end ride blog for my E2E. Twitter/twitpic for short messages, the blog for longer ones.

Here is a test shot.. If I sent it as email rather than SMS then it would get the subject right.

This is a night shot. The mobile really doesn't like long exposures even though I boosted the exposure setting to +2.

I think that's quite amazing from a phone camera.

Hope you don't mind but I had a play with some cropping and art filters

Looks like it should be a wrap round CD cover or some such for a progressive Weegie art band.

Last bank holiday weekend, I was down in Poole visiting my sister. Went for a nice ride over the Purbecks early on Sunday morning and ended up down at Lulworth Cove, where I took a few pics with my phone (SonyEricsson W902). These are the best ones...

This one was facing east, straight into the early morning sun, but it still came out quite nicely:

The other side of the bay:

Nice spot.  The phone cam coped pretty well into the sun, minimal flaring, touch of CA in the wave highlights - but this would prob occur in many cameras.

I love the colours in that. And the shadows really draw the eye in, giving the pic a strangely "dynamic" quality. Nice.

OK, I would like to make a submission or two.

Not brilliant quality but here goes -

Drank too much, more like. If you told me he'd opened the bottle himself, I'd believe you.
(Nice name btw)
