That's a bit keen. Keen is good.  Not Keene, they suck ass.

Is he stopping off somewhere far away tonight?

<edit: answering my own question. His calendar suggests not, as he as due to start/finish in Maningtree.  Hope he has a good day; not too blowy, or at least not as much as it felt yesterday.>

Outside CET towers albeit 150 miles from where Steve is, it is sunny and calm, so hopefully he is making hay while the sun shines (not that I expect many visits to Hay - lots of hill around there).

Forza Steve!!

The shipping forecast for Warwickshire.

Calm. Maybe 1 West later, rising, good.

The clocks change next week.

No idea if that will have a bearing on his start timings, as I can never work out what the change does.  ;D
It is simpler than it looks.

Early start to get a big miles day in taking advantage of the good weather today? The weekend weather forecast looks a bit pants. Clocks go forward Sunday morning as well losing Steve an hour in bed.

Change of plan for this weekend, I gather, due to strong SW winds forecast for Saturday - his tactical masterplan is to take advantage tomorrow.

We'll remember this when we happy few on the Green and Yellow Fields Helpers' Ride are slogging back into it...nevertheless:

GO STEVE!

Only if he gets up strictly by the clock rather than by the duration in bed.  Just because we suddenly start renaming 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. doesn't mean he has to start riding then.

In Steve's position (Editor's note: yeah right!) I'd ignore the change completely, and just add an hour to all the alarms, instructions etc.  Only as it starts getting lighter again in that hour would I start drifting my start times back.  He doesn't have to fit in with anything else that happens according to the time change, so why suddenly start riding when it's darker and after an hour's less sleep?

Traffic will be an hour different, whatever the daylight is doing.

But he rides through the busy pretty much start to finish anyway.

Schools mostly have the next 2 weeks off so that should improve things.

So the children in Marsh Gibbon can decorate the main street.

Possibly not true.  Skool Hols lead to quieter urban roads but often busier traffic routes between centres of population.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

You don't get the concentrated 2 hours or so twice a day though.

Yes, he'll ignore it I expect. Still there's only 23hrs in the day on Sunday, so one hour fewer for something, i.e. sleep, eating, cycling.
