Sounds good to me, probably.

G&Y is on the Saturday before and BCM is a week later.  My legs might need a rest in between  :o

I'm not too sure if I will join this time, mainly due to the fact that the day after the last one my Achilles hurt quite a lot and with the Chapman that weekend I don't want to risk it.

Saying that, if you was short of number for either the 15 or the 30 I'll just apply rule 5 and come along (I might do some stretching as wellapply ibuprofen gel)

Put me down. That's not what I meant. I will go velodroming. The Current Mrs R is interested too  :o  Could trigger an invasion of WAGs, she's a bit pissed right now so has her Brave Pants on  ;D

I'm unlikely to be around this Wednesday evening - work again  ::-)

Well at least we can move away from the mainline again then

The weather looks potentially foul.  With the interests of the Witham peloton in mind, how about another venue close to that sceptred town as we default to winter mode.  The Green Man at Braxted looked cosy the last time I cycled past.  It's still a way for Tomsk or I to get home but we are getting used to that.

Alternatively, I could make my way to Spa if we are going to go south/west of the A12 to Braintree or similar.

^ No problem with the Green Man - though we haven't been to Witham itself for a few weeks...The White Hart? Might tempt more out [WAGS even?] if the weather is genuinely grotty??

That's only because we know you like to catch the train home and you can't do that in your home town

Always the bus though!

Forecast is currently for sleet or snow on Wednesday evening.  We could keep the White Hart in reserve in case of genuine grottiness and review either later tomorrow or Wednesday morning.

We could revisit the Woolpack in Witham to boost the Hello Kitty purse kitty at £2.50/pint  :demon:
On the other hand with an evening forecast predicting 4mm of rain and low temperatures a duvet day may be called  :-\

That's fine providing we do another Woolie trip when I'm around.

By the way, is it now under new management?  We drove past the other day and it looked like all the signage had been tarted up.

The Woolpack ( Church St, Witham ) is under the same management as the last time we stopped there, last year. As of saturday beers available were No Name, Bishop Nicks Heresy, Oscar Wilde Mild, GK IPA.

Are the witham mob planning a scenic route or direct. If it's direct I'll walk down.

That does sound like a very tempting wimp out option for this evening, and maybe one that offers the opportunity for Syndi the puppy to get acquainted with her mid walk refreshment stops  ::-)
Who from the Witham peloton is likely to be awheel this evening for a scenic route?

If you're at the Woolly I may wander down for a quick pint a bit later.

A change of plan means I'm home but won't be venturing out as the forecast is cold and wet but more significantly I got myself totally shit faced last night and ended up with my head down the bog  ::-)  Mind you all the booze was free and there were even dancing girls so what was I supposed to do?  ;D  I now feel like death barely warmed up so will be having an early night tonight.

I hope you all have a pleasant evening  :-*
