Right then, CURRIED SPROUT UPDATE ...

I have booked a table for 11 persons at the Eastern View, Coggeshall for 9pm on Wednesday evening.  I have done a route for the Witham which I will post if I can be arsed.

I think the Witham peloton can meet at the Spa Road roundabout at 7:30pm as per usual, we might be a but early but better that than late.

If you get there early bag our table.  And ...

I have checked, curried sprouts are on the menu!

I plan to ride on Wednesday, one more for curried sprouts if the proprietors don't mind.

I should have a working winter bike still - having today confirmed that gatorskin hardshell tyres don't get on with alex solo rims - the rims cut the sidewalls at the bead.

^^^ Shame Jen, I hope you have a good Christmas.

So to this evening.  I think I'm right in saying today is the Winter Solstice which must make tonight the shortest night of the year, what better way to mark the event by having a curry with sprouts.  If the Witham peloton is minded we could follow THIS ROUTE.

See you all laters

I'll be taking the COR route down from Pattiswick - rideable [just!] on fixed this autumn, but on something more appropriate in the rain this evening, I think...

Any idea of the cycle-parking at/near the Eastern View?

Kudos for the festive COR Tomsk

No, not sure about bike parking.  I am packing extra lockage.

Yep.  Will probably bring the Globe, since it has weapons-grade lockage attached :)

Wednesday 18th January is earmarked for an LEL Pubinar, [see thread in Audax, LEL], somewhere in Witham...Woolpack, White Hart, Battesford Court???

Meanwhile...Ale House, Chelmo next week? [Our plans are uncertain at the moment, so I may or may not make it].

I'm not about next week but should be okay for the 11th (Hurdlemakers) and 18th (Witham / LEL pubinar).  I'd suggest Witham 'spoons  (Battesford Court) as its the biggest Witham pub so probably best for hosting a large group.
