Clouseau's manservant is no more. He has ceased to be.

Must watch another Pink Panther film soon...
It is simpler than it looks.

Dear me, NO!

If you must watch a Blake Edwards offering then make it S.O.B.

Eh?  I find it hard to imagine funnier films than the earlier Pink Panthers.
It's a reverse Elvis thing.

Wasn't Bert in Tenko and other fairly major offerings later on...?

Oh come on the fart in the lift scene is classic! I also love some of the repetition gags like the repeated driving of cars into the same swimming pool.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

The fart in a lift is about the only funny bit in that one though - that was a sad testament to the earlier classics.
It's a reverse Elvis thing.

There's one huge stumbling block. Peter Sellers was singularly UNfunny.

My apologies if that makes me a Phillistine but it's not something I'll ever get past...

Well if you don't find him funny that's not likely to help.  I could almost fall over just looking at him personally. <shrug>

RIP Bert :'(

As for Sellars, he was/ is an acquired taste. I for one, have acquired. The father of a good friend at school introduced me to The Goons. These shows had me crying with laughter.

Goons - Yes. Genius. Sellars on his own - No.

He started out in Inn of the Sixth Happiness.

My mother and father in law were on honeymoon in Wales when this was being filmed. They had no idea what was going one when suddenly a load of chinese in coolie hats appeared on the Welsh hills.

RIP Burt.

I feel it is such a shame that he spent so much of his life acting in comedy stereotype roles.  He was so much more talented than that.
Getting there...
