If it's excitement you're after, I'll see your light bracket and raise you a HBFO packet of zip ties.
Although their lights are things of Great Beauty and Brightness, why the nice guys at Ay-Up think that the four zip ties they supply is enough is beyond me. That allows for one installation and one change of the lights on the bars.
I hope I'll be needing more than that...  :-\
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

I'll try and remember to take its picture this evening.  Or did you mean a picture of Merton High Street?  In which case. I can go one better than that and show you a picture of AW Cycles: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=merton+high+street&hl=en&ll=51.416231,-0.185287&spn=0.011348,0.028903&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=22.699546,59.194336&vpsrc=6&hnear=High+St,+London,+Greater+High+Street+Wimbledon,+London+SW19+5DX,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=51.416066,-0.185524&panoid=MFQc8yKgMpZuVvfuN0tMEQ&cbp=12,173.02,,0,-1.61

Shoes.  Specialized Tahoe.
(Then spent several minutes swearing in an attempt to remove the cleat fixing nut cover).

And one of these:

New tyres, all the better for not falling over in the mud with.
They're also an experiment in how I find big at the front / small and knobbly at the back (off road).

I've never seen it look that open! It usually looks as though it shut ten years ago when I've been past. ???

Oh fabulous.  Butterfly was just admiring one of them in the bath this morning.

I mean, she was in the bath, not the bike.  The bike wasn't there.  It was in a magazine.  C+ were very impressed with the 2012 version, which they say is more suited to touring, so even more of an all-rounder than before.  If I had to have one bike only, it could well be a CdF, but I can't justify one yet.  Hope you enjoy yours.

I've bought something which will make TGL very very happy indeed.  But it isn't something I've bought for him.  It's for me, and he gets a cast-off ;)

Not today, nor yesterday, but on our trip through the Orc-ish hordes in York on Tuesday, I bought an Altura Night Vision jacket in red, from Blacks.

I had spent too long admiring LG's and Crusty's night vision jackets and figured I would use my voucher before they go belly up....

My Mavic Open pros on DT swiss 370 hubs arrived yesterday from Rose. They'll get their first run on the commute tomorrow. I weighed them, they are 2 kg together sans cassette and skewers. I also invested in a workstand from Rose its not bad at all for under £50.

Rose have done well out of us this Christmas, we've only used them when they are cheaper than UK online retailers.

I went to LBS to get a tiagra 10 speed cassette today, they only had 105 for £50, bit lumpy I reckon, so I resorted to Parkers.

Not bought but swapped with eck, a pair of padded Lidl cycling gloves. And to go with them, a jersey that was surplus to his requirements - blue to go with my Cannondale; it fits me like the aforementioned. What a nice chap!

Fits you like a Cannondale? That's rather an odd turn of phrase :)

I have just bought 4 frames, two old Carltons and an old Raliegh and a mystery frame.

Not bad as the most expensive was £35.....
