Very evocative write-ups Jane, Wow and others. I'm not sorry to have missed it this year - other things were vying for, and in receipt of my attention.
I suspect I will be drawn back to the DD in years to come - I'll be surprised if things turn out otherwise.
I like the 4 ferry return stunt - trouble is, I don't think I could ever do it. My cycling day needs to end with a bath, a hearty meal at a table and crisp white sheets preferably in a bed.
Camping? Non, merci.

I have decided on my one-person Wild Country Zephyros (poor man's Terra Nova Laser) and will probably sell it when I've definitely decided it's too small for me.

If you do decide to sell it I'd be interested  :)

I'm so glad you posted that, Aunty C.  I'm sure the last thing Jurek would want is for people to forget it. ;)
Getting there...

I used to be like that until Charlotte's S240 Zombocalypse turned me. Now I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession.

I thought it was sharing a tent with me that did that...  ;) ;D

Ye gods and little fishes, that was five years ago!  We should do another one.
Actually, it is rocket science.

(bump)

so.... anyone here recognize this chap?

I'm assuming he rode the DR in 2013 as that's when that limited availability jersey was made.

Anyway, seems either he or some acquaintances of his have lost a camera full of photos, including that one.

That was all!

Just thought I'd bump this because it was probably my favourite Dun Run of all.
