aol dial up with chrome - bleagh!

At the parents in a USA broadband not spot. To make it worse they connect with AOL Dial up.

In an attempt to make the experience slightly less horrific, I've installed google chrome - however, after connecting with AOL, and starting chrome, I get the error:

Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error

IE will also not connect throuh AOL.

Any Ideas?

If they're using AOL's software to connect, they could try Windows' own where you have to enter the details manually.

Do you need to set it up to use a proxy?  There's an auto-configuration for that you could try.
