If you like a bit of fairly gentle weirdness I can recommend 'Tales from the Loop' on Prime.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Yes, I enjoyed.

Watched the first episode of "The Serpent" which I did not enjoy (they did that thing where they tried to catch your interest by telling the story in such a way as you don't know what's going on ... because you won't care for any of the characters or be interested in the denouement otherwise), switched to Traces which I thought was better (on Ep 2, won't win awards so far but it is "good enough" to watch).

I came here to recommend The Serpent which we've just finished watching.
Although the to-ing and fro-ing in the time line requires careful attention, it's a gripping, and very worrying, tale very much of its time (1970s).
I liked the way they'd interleaved period footage into the drama. The comprehensive roundup of the current status of the main characters was welcome and we'll done.
As someone who was on the very outer edges of the fringes of the European end of this world its all very credible - and maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much.
Too many angry people - breathe & relax.

We’ve just finished the excellent drama “The Investigation” that shows the police side of the investigation into the murder of the journalist Kim Wall by Danish entrepreneur Peter Madsen.

I came here just to post about that.! Really good, despite having followed the case and knowing the outcome.

Another positive endorsement from here. Much better than some of the Scandinavian crime dramas whcih are far too faced-paced for their own good.

Agreed. I hung on as long as I could but as soon as I saw the car getting petrol-bombed I just thought “here we go again”. Leaving aside the subject matter, I thought it was very stagey and awkward. I’ve never been a fan of James Nesbitt.

You can watch a similar scene at the start of the excellent Line of Duty reruns (they're reshowing Series 2;  was S1 really awful? my memory's not that great, I'm not even sure if we watched it!)

With complete disregard for operational considerations....

She’s a maverick but she gets results, goddammit.

And if she can singlehandedly bring down the entire O’Mafia family, it will be a victory for enemies of tired clichés everywhere.

We are watching it as we've got used to collecting plot holes and “wonder what happened to”-s
It is simpler than it looks.

Is it just me or was this last series a warning not to watch the next one?

Good things being said about The Terror, now on iPlayer, based on the excellent Dan Simmons novel.

Mrs Legs and I are enjoying the Pottery Throwdown, with Weepy Keith.

The guests were announced in December apparently, but I missed it: Charlotte Ritchie, Jamali Maddix, Lee Mack, Mike Wozniak and Sarah Kendall.

I thin what happened was they got to the end of the script writing, and suddenly realised they had only written 7 out of the 8. Hence the flashback.

At least the mafia gang are dealt with...

I do actually know who Lee Mack is…

Mike Wozniak is behind the Beef & Dairy Network podcast (very funny at first but the joke wore thin pretty quickly), and also played Brian in Man Down.

Charlotte Ritchie was Oregon in Fresh Meat and has been in various other things on telly.

Sarah Kendall and Jamali Maddix I know nothing about beyond that they are stand-up comedians.

We watched that on Amazon Prime in Germany a couple of months ago and really liked it. Excellent acting.

When you have finished it we can compare ideas about its meaning.
